In 2009, John and Steve Cook met and initiated conversations that led to the formation of HIGHPOINT Living, an operational platform for real estate investments. HIGHPOINT Living diversifies the Comet Family wealth generated through other operating businesses including their Pepsi franchise in Champaign County Illinois. John has a law degree from John Marshall Law School and Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois.

Prior to HP, John co-founded Pinnacle Consultants which merged to form Broeren Russo Construction, becoming one of the largest commercial and industrial contractors in Illinois. John was COO of the firm overseeing and managing the complete project life-cycle from initiation to closeout. John studied architecture at the University of Illinois and received a Bachelor’s degree in construction management from Bradley University.
